Southeastern Pennsylvania VOAD is a part of a national collaboration of diverse organizations and citizens trained to meet community needs in the wake of a large-scale disaster. VOAD coordinates planning efforts and, during a disaster, matches community needs with services provided by member VOAD agencies. This cooperative effort has proven to be the most effective way for a wide variety of volunteers and organizations to work together in a crisis. Volunteers are trained to work before, during and after a large-scale disaster.
To date, nearly 2,000 people stand ready to serve as VOAD volunteers from more than 130 partner agencies throughout the five-county region. Some 3,000 people have been trained in critical disaster preparedness and response skills.
Citizens Corps, a key SEPA VOAD member, provides citizens the opportunity to participate in a range of measures to make their families, their homes, and their communities safer from the threats of crime, terrorism and disasters of all kinds.
VOAD/Citizen Corps offers members of your organization free disaster trainings. Get peace of mind knowing your members are prepared before a disaster strikes and can look after themselves and their families post-disaster.
Our trainers can do on-site training for groups of 15+ at your location of choice. Or if you prefer, we can train several of your members as VOAD/Citizen Corps trainers so you can train new members as they come aboard.

Latest News!
If your agency is already a VOAD Partner, we have recently created a new organizational resource survey so that you can more easily update your information with us. Having updated information on your organization will help us assess community resources in the SEPA region should a large-scale disaster occur. These surveys will be crucial in helping provide quality service during times of need.
If you are new to VOAD, but are ready to take the next step, please feel free to submit a survey as well. You are not committing your agencies resources by filling out this survey, but rather helping us know what’s may be available in the community if there is a community need during a disaster.
